A New Partnership is Making Prom and Graduation Unforgettable and Accessible for Everyone! DONATIONS NEEDED NOW!

The Children’s Foundation (TCF) and The Hastings and Prince Edward Learning Foundation (HPELF), in partnership with the Quinte Mall, are teaming up to host the annual Prom Project Event.

Prom Project provides elementary and secondary students with the opportunity to select formal wear, free of charge, to attend their formal and/or graduation ceremonies. Ensuring access to all and eliminating barriers, Prom Project commemorates the achievements of students and helps them celebrate in style.

From February 14, 2024, until March 31, 2024 we will be accepting donations of gently used or new men’s suits, ties, formal dresses, shoes, and accessories at Guest Services in the Quinte Mall.

In April, students will be welcomed by the Prom Project to find the perfect outfit free of charge! Formal wear including suits separates, dresses, make-up, shoes, accessories, and much more will be made available thanks to generous donations!

“We are thrilled to be partnering with The Children’s Foundation”, said Kellie Brace, Operations Manager at The Hastings, and Prince Edward Learning Foundation.  “We are two charities that support students, and we both strive to help children and youth succeed – working together on the Prom Project only makes sense!”

“Prom Project exemplifies what The Children’s Foundation is about – removing financial barriers that keep youth from participating in meaningful activities.  We are honoured to be working alongside The Hastings & Prince Edward Learning Foundation on an event that supports so many students.  Thank you to Quinte Mall for joining us as a corporate sponsor. This year’s Prom Project is a testament to the power of collaboration and impact we can create together”, says Melanie Cressman, Executive Director of The Children’s Foundation.
