Wednesday, October 4th, 2023 marked the 4th Kids Can’t Wait Radiothon where communities in Hastings, Northumberland, and Prince Edward Counties raised close to $60,000 in support of The Children’s Foundation. Radio station partners that made it all possible included Mix 97, Rock 107, CJBQ, 95.5 FM, Cool 100.1 FM, MY FM, Oldies 10.3, Moose FM, and The County FM.
Melanie Cressman, Executive Director says, “The totals are in, and we’re blown away! This event simply doesn’t happen without the incredible support of our sponsors. The in-kind media support that we receive is profound. 9 radio stations across 3 counties dedicating 12 hours to broadcasting the impact of The Children’s Foundation is immeasurable. A very special thank you to Quinte Broadcasting, who produced the vignettes and promotional spots for the event. We also extend our thanks to the hourly sponsors, McDonald's, McDowells Independent, the Dugout Grill, Killa Cupcakes and everyone who called the hotline, bought a burger, bid on an auction, or got dunked to support the kids.
