This week Domino’s restaurants locally rolled out the dough in support of The Children’s Foundation. Five Domino’s locations from Belleville, Trenton, Napanee and Cobourg sold a total of 4,240 medium pizzas with 100% of the proceeds going back to The Children’s Foundation. The Domino’s Dough Drive was organized by Seth Nagendran, who owns 4 stores and he asked Zoltan Nagy, owner of the Cobourg store, to join the event. Mr. Nagendran says this exceeded his expectations and asked why he wanted to do this event he says, “I believe the dreams of today's youth pave the way for a better tomorrow.”

Ingrid Moore, Executive Director of The Children’s Foundation says, “We are truly overwhelmed by the generosity shown through this fundraiser.” Moore says last year the event raised over $18,000 and this year it just skyrocketed to over $22,000. “We are so grateful to the community for their support. We especially want to thank Domino’s staff who worked hard all day to make sure these pizzas went out. We appreciate them so much.” The Children’s Foundation provides, and funds programs aimed at ensuring all children and youth in Hastings, Northumberland, and Prince Edward Counties have social and physical opportunities to explore, learn, play, and thrive. The Children’s Foundation provides funding for programs that allow them to attend camp, play sports, learn new skills and pursue higher education.
